Language and computer skills play a pivot role in children’s education nowadays. They not only demonstrate an innate ability in learning and assimilating foreign languages but also a natural tendency for using new technologies.

Developing such skills are essential for a complete education.

Within this scope, AFB has created the AFB Junior program which has the main objective of combining these two skills – learning  English and new technologies. Our teaching methods are specificially designed for children

English at Primary Schools

Fun.e program - France, Morocco, Portugal

The AFB fun.e program for children in primary school  includes an interactive online course which aims at:

Promoting children’s awareness towards learning a second language

Familiarizes students with new technologies

Prepares today’s students for the challenges of the tomorrow’s working world

Courses are delivered on AFB’s e-learning platform under the supervision of a tutor who monitors and guides students throughout their classroom and online activities. Students can practice and continue to learn at home with unlimited access to AFB’s  safe and protected learning platform. 

Children become actively involved in their own learning process thanks to AFB’s b-learning approach:

Classroom lessons are consolidated with interactive pedagogical exercises on the AFB e-learning platform;

Course Syllabi are specifically designed and created by our pedagogical team taking the Portuguese learning environment highly into consideration. As a result, all course contents are in accordance with the premises established by the Ministery of Education and correspond to the specific needs of each of school group;

Children are stimulated to collaborative learning in a safe virtual community where they may communicate and practice English with their peers and teachers;

Other important skills (computer, research) are also developed and strengthened throughout the course;

Computer Courses for Primary Levels (1º Ciclo)  

Our courses aim at:

Creating study and work habits that students will adopt throughout their personal lives, education and Professional careers;

Fostering students’ use of the computer as not only a study tool but also as a means for putting creativity to use;

Developing students’ learning autonomy in terms of their computer skills;

Incentivating communication and the sense of belonging to a learning community.

Courses are organized at schools: lessons takes place at the child’s primary school and are organized into classes with an AFB teacher.

The complete program comprises the four years of primary education in Portugal (1º ciclo). The course syllabus of each year is a continuation of the precedent year with slight difference not only in terms of course contents but new activities which are specifically designed for students of that level.

Students can practice and continue to learn at home with unlimited access to AFB’s  safe and protected learning platform.
