AFB UNI is the result of a growing demand for Portuguese language courses which offer foreign students and academic researchers the possibility of acquiring different language skills and knowledge of the Portuguese culture, language and literature.

We provide full immersion Courses (weekly 30-hour courses) in a friendly environment right in the center of Lisbon:

Classes are organized in small groups of 3-5 students which allows teachers to closely follow their progress in a more personalized teaching approach with contents based on each of the student’s specific needs;

Essentially practical sessions, based on communicative situations;

Interactive methods which include audiovisual resources and Access to AFB’s e-learning platform (with chats, forums and interactive exercises);

Teachers and Tutors monitor students’ progress throughout the course;

Cultural and educational visits;

Levels of courses are organised according to those of the Common European Framework of Reference (A1 to C2);

Students who successfully complete the course are entitled to a course certificate;

AFB courses are certified by DGERT (Ministery of Work and Social Solidariety in Portugal);

Courses available throughout the whole year.

 

 

AFB offers follow up Courses (duration: 10 weeks) to further students knowledge of the language after having attended the one-week intensive program:

Requirements: students must have at least a A1 level of Portuguese;

Course Schedule and timetable are determined according to students’ availability;

Classroom lessons + online activities.
